About this product
Ink wash painting is a distinctive traditional art form that originated in ancient China and flourished throughout Eastern art, especially in Vietnam. The ink wash painting is derived from two core elements: "water" and "ink", symbolizing the harmonious blend between brushwork and delicate color gradation. Eschewing elaborate use of color, this style of painting emphasizes inner values, offering a sense of tranquility, serenity, and spiritual depth to its admirers.
More than just a visual art form, ink wash painting carries profound feng shui meanings. Hanging these paintings in living spaces adds a refreshing focal point, attracts positive energy, wards off negative forces, and brings a sense of peace and calm to both homeowners and visitors.
Each piece is created on xuyen chi paper mounted on silk, a precious traditional material. Xuyen chi paper is highly absorbent, allowing the ink to spread evenly, resulting in soft, fluid lines rich with emotion. The silk backing enhances durability while adding a touch of classical elegance, true to the spirit of traditional ink wash painting.
We currently offer two painting lines to meet the diverse needs of our customers:
- Original Paintings: Authentic works handcrafted by the artist. Production and delivery time: 10–14 days.
- Customized Text Paintings: Allows personalization by adding text in Vietnamese, English, or Chinese. Production and delivery time: 15–30 days.
Note: All paintings are 100% hand-painted, so the completion time may extend beyond the estimated period. We kindly ask for your understanding and patience to receive a truly exquisite and unique artwork.
Instructions for Hanging and Preserving the Painting
To ensure your painting retains its beauty and longevity, please keep the following in mind:
- Hang the painting in a dry, well-ventilated area. Avoid placing it in high-humidity spaces such as bathrooms, kitchens, or near heat-emitting appliances.
- Keep the painting out of direct sunlight, as UV rays can cause the artwork to fade and discolor over time.
- Use a moisture-absorbing sheet behind the painting when hanging it on the wall to reduce the impact of humidity.
- If the painting is framed with glass, leave a small gap between the artwork and the glass to prevent condensation buildup.
- Never clean the painting with a damp cloth—water can cause the ink to bleed and may damage the paper, affecting the longevity and quality of the artwork.
