About Mónika Herrán

    Mrs. Mónika Herrán was born in 1957, is a talented female photographer from Medellin, Colombia. Mónika Herrán studied Graphic Design at the Pontifical Bolivarian University in Medellin. She began pursuing her passion for photography in 1981 and has been working in this field for 40 years with many wonderful  product that show her passion and endless creativity. She is one 

of the representative female photographers of Colombia, and is also the co – founder of Frente Fotografico; the art collective Integrartes, in Cali; founder and leader of the Cali Ciudad Visible photography city project.

  Mónika Herrán is not only an artist but also a cultural ambassador, promoting mutual understanding between peoples. Her works can be found in the permanent collections of the Elysee Museum in Lausanne, Arles, France, as well as the modern art museums of her country. She has also edited and published numerous books and produced the Anonymous and Floribus film series, which have been exhibited in Vietnam and Thailand, contributing to the cultural connection between Colombia and other countries in the world.

  With her important contributions to the art of photography and culture, Mónika Herrán has affirmed her position in the hearts of the public and the art world.
